Southern All Stars – Cherry Blossoms Falling Gracefully     

How much have I been exposed to endless rain  

While spending sleepless nights before becoming an adult?  

Some old friends and beloved ones passed away, and  

Time went by as if it had flown away  

Suddenly, that disaster made me hate this hometown for a while

For many days, I was not able to return to there

The spring stopped,

As if the beautiful townscape had been cut into ribbons

Cherry blossoms sprout hope

I can still catch a whiff of them

They are dancing gracefully in the wind

Hope that someone will convey words to the future nicely

Blurring shadows I cannot forget

Shining flowers beyond the shade of willows

How much do I have to see you in my dream and call your name to forget you?

You even refuse to cry?

A chorus of cicadas

The blessed sea overflows

Hope that you will sing a love song for the next generation

You are still alive

Hope that you will protect people while respecting them

And then time comes round

But, please drop by

I’ll wait

Let’s make a leap toward the future together

Cherry blossoms give hope

I can still catch a whiff of them

Petals are dancing gracefully

Hope that someone will convey words to the future nicely
